Movin' and Shakin'
"If you don't like where you are right now give it three months and things will change."
A very good friend of mine uses this motto in good times and bad and it seems to be true. These past three months have brought so many changes to my life and allowed me to spend time in the studio like never before.
Here are some of the things that have come out of that time.

Rosh Hashanah
Tomorrow is Rosh Hashanah so Happy New Year to those that means some thing to.
I work in a studio that is located in a predominantly Jewish community. Lately some of that patrons have come in looking for honey pots and apple plates. I was pulling some very beautiful glass and ceramic plates from the kiln and felt inspired. So here is a little fruit plate I painted for the High Holiday.
Happy New Year!

Oh Sweet Carmug
There is just some thing about travel mugs that force me into the isles of Target desperately searching for the best mug out there. This would be the tumbler that will 1. Fit in my cup holder 2. Sturdy enough to be dropped on the floor and not break 3. Never spill on my shirt and most importantly 4. I like a mug that can be filled with steamy hot coffee and placed in my bag (or roof of my car) and never spill a drop. Let's just say I haven't found one yet. So I have switched to hand painting my own.

Reworked collectables by Kelly from thestorybookrabbit on etsy
Plates are "vintage" or used or Salvation Army find and the bunnies are decals. I don't think they are food safe but they are sweet and would look lovely on a wall.
